Context
Salpi Inženiring, a Slovenian B2B electrical equipment trading company supplying solar
powerplant components to local integrators, needed solar PV components sourced from China.
What I did
- Identified and vetted Chinese suppliers of solar PV components
- Negotiated pricing and terms directly with manufacturers
- Coordinated with logistics partners and communicated directly with customs brokers to
manage cross-border delivery
- Ran sourcing independently, in parallel with the company's own sales/marketing strategy
work (which I also supported directly, engaging with local solar powerplant integrators and
their procurement teams)
Outcome
Delivered sourcing for project scope up to USD 50,000, contributing to the company securing a
stronger position in the local solar equipment niche.
